When nine-year-old Evie Bailey’s teacher asked the students to write a letter for a school project, Evie’s Mimi (aka her grandmother, Terry Walker) had a great idea.

Evie wrote a sweet letter about beachcombing with her best buddy Mimi and some of the beautiful things they have found together on the beach. She even included a photo of herself with one of her favorites: a rare pink-colored beach gem! Thanks for the sending such a nice letter, Evie, and we hope you have many more adventures with Mimi on the Chesapeake Bay!
